Sims was a first team selection on the American Baseball Coaches Association team and a second team selection on the D3baseball.com team. This is the second straight year Sims has been on the ABCA team.
Sims batted .421 in 44 games for the Panthers. He scored a school-record 73 runs, while hitting a team-high six home runs to go with 47 RBIs. Sims also led the team in at-bats (202), hits (85), total bases (132) slugging percentage (.653), doubles (17), triples (6) and stolen bases (36).
Sims was ranked in the top 10 in four national Division III offensive categories. He led the nation in runs per game, was second in runs scored, third in hits and sixth in stolen bases. Sims led or tied for the team lead in 14 offensive categories. In the GSAC, he was in the top five in 14 offensive categories. Sims is ranked in the top 10 in 28 school career offensive categories and six school career fielding categories since LaGrange joined the NCAA in 2001.
