Biography:

Winder Diaz is in his first season with the Windy City ThunderBolts and fifth as a professional in 2025. He signed as a free agent on November 2, 2024 after playing his first four seasons in the Washington Nationals Organization. His professional career began in 2021, when he was an international signing of the Nationals out of the Dominican Republic.

In his four total seasons in the Washington system, Diaz hit .231 with a .383 on-base percentage in 162 games. he had 28 extra base hits and 19 stolen bases while driving in 47 runs. In his best season, 2023, he hit .279 with a .395 on-base percentage for the Rookie level Nationals. He attended high school at Colegio Simon Orozco in Santo Domingo Este, Dominican Repulic.
