Biography:

Michael Sandle is in his first year with the Windy City ThunderBolts and fifth as a professional in 2025. He signed with the Bolts on November 19, 2024. His pro career began in 2021, when he was selected by the Houston Astros in the tenth round of the June Amateur Draft. He spent three seasons in the Astros' system, rising as high as Triple-A Sugar Land. In 255 career games, he hit .246 with 26 homers and 112 RBIs. In his best season, 2022, he hit .268 and stole 23 bases for High-A Asheville.

Michael attended the University of South Alabama for four years and compiled a .289 batting average and .819 OPS over 177 games. He hit over .300 in each of his final three seasons. As a senior in 2021, he hit 11 home runs and stole 15 bases while leading the team with 48 RBIs. Prior to South Alabama, he attended Navarre High School in Navarre, Florida.
