Biography:
2025 is Tyler Wehrle's first season with the ThunderBolts and fourth as a pro. He was acquired from the Washington Wild Things in exchange for pitcher Dylan Kirkeby on July 28, 2025. His pro career began in 2022, when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Milwaukee Brewers. In three years with the Brewers, Wehrle rose as high as High-A Wisconsin. He appeared in 58 total games (four starts) and went 10-10 with a 4.13 ERA and three saves.
A graduate of Tiffin University in Ohio, Tyler pitched in 41 games (33 starts) with the Dragons and went 23-10 with a 3.76 ERA. He was named All-GMAC in both his junior and senior seasons, capping his career in 2022 with a 6-1 record, 3.24 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 66.2 innings. Prior to Tiffin, he attended Lakota High Schoolin Kansas, Ohio. |
