Biography:
Alain Quijano signed with the ThunderBolts on July 24 after beginning the season with the Florence Freedom. Quijano posted a 0-1 record and 5.40 ERA in 18 appearances with Florence. With the ThunderBolts, he make 17 appearances out of the bullpen, finishing with a 1-0 record and one save. Quijano held opposing batters to a .230 average while striking out 20 batters in 15.2 innings and walking only five. He made three appearances in the 2008 Frontier League playoffs, tossing four scoreless innings.
Alain began his professional career with the San Angelo Colts of the Central League in 2005, appearing in eight games without factoring in any decisions. He spent the entire 2007 season in Florence, appearing in 31 games (11 starts) and compiling a 5-7 record with 75 strikeouts in 111.2 innings. |
