SCHAUMBURG, IL – The ThunderBolts jumped out to a 6-0 lead early in Schaumburg Friday night and cruised to an 8-3 win over the Boomers in the opener of a three-game weekend series at Wintrust Field.

A wild fourth inning doubled the lead. Zach Racusin hit a leadoff single and Rob Weissheier followed with a slow grounder to short.
