A batter later, Jairus Richards singled to bring Robinson home increasing the lead to 2-0. The Crushers scored the rest of the runs. In the bottom of the first, a lead-off error allowed Steven Kraft to reach second. He scored on the next batter when Isaac Benard singled to left. In the second inning, the Crushers took the lead for good when Eric Callahan lined a two-run double to center. The Crushers padded their advantage in the third on Steve Passatempo’s RBI knock.
