Help Wanted!
ThunderBolts Seeking Host Families for 2019 Season
When ballplayers decide to continue their professional baseball career in independent baseball, many travel from across the country chasing their dream of one day playing in the Major Leagues. When they arrive in Crestwood, they seek a touch of home to make them feel welcome. The ThunderBolts are seeking host families for our ballplayers to call home for the 2019 season. Families provide housing, as well as a support system for the player(s) they host.
Host Families receive (2) season tickets for every ballplayer they host.
All we ask is for the following:
-
Provide free room and board for the player(s).
-
Be understanding of their schedule. These ballplayers play 96 games in a short 5-month span.
-
We encourage host families to have the ballplayers participate as members of your family.
In return, the ballplayers are asked and required to do the following:
-
Adhere to the rules set forth by the Host Family.
-
Participate as a member of the family, giving the respect and consideration he would give his own family.
-
Provide his own transportation to and from the ballpark.
-
Wash and Dry his own laundry.
Host Families and Players are asked to complete a questionnaire before they are matched. This enables us to match a ballplayer with an appropriate family. We try our best to ensure a suitable match is made for both the player and family.
