A new ThunderBolts season is upon us and when fans enter the gates of Standard Bank Stadium they will hear some different voices. The ThunderBolts are looking for a new Public-Address Announcer as well as an On-Field Emcee. If you didn't make the cut with the Major League team to the North, the ThunderBolts want to give those that didn’t make the cut a second chance.
On Saturday, April 30, at 3:00 PM, aspiring vocal talents can come to Standard Bank Stadium for the PA Announcer and Emcee tryout. Anyone and everyone is welcome to try their hand at becoming part of the ThunderBolts team. It is an exciting time to see new faces on game days, but not everyone is excited about the change. Former PA Announcer, Mike VerSchave had this to say, “It's hard to put your heart into something and give it your all, only to be told your best isn't good enough.” Mike and Kathy are retaining their positions as Director of Operations and Director of Community Relations respectively.
Applicants can also send in tryout videos for their chance to get noticed. Please send videos to Mike VerSchave at
[email protected] or come on out on April 30th at 3:00 PM, all you need is your personality!
