The newest Windy City ThunderBolt added to the roster is an outfielder by the name of Chase Porch. Porch finds his way to Crestwood and the Frontier League after spending last season with the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association. Porch played his first year of professional baseball in 2010 and was awarded Rookie of the Year.
The 6’1” 195 pound right-handed hitter played in 70 games last year for Pensacola. He had a .286 average with 4 homers and 40 RBI. Porch had 23 multi-hit games and hit over .350 with runners and scoring position. Chase Porch will be another outstanding addition to an already stellar outfield.
The Windy City ThunderBolts are a member of the twelve-team Frontier League, the oldest professional independent baseball league in the nation.
