The Windy City ThunderBolts have announced the acquisition of outfielder Jeff Grose in a trade with the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League for LHP Jared Locke. Grose is a 26 year old product of Rutgers University. The lefty spent 4 years in the Big East Conference before making his professional debut with the Kalamazoo Kings of the Frontier League.
Grose spent 3 years with the Kings and had a .286 batting average. Grose was a part of the 2008 Kalamazoo team that was swept by the ThunderBolts in the Championship Series. Grose ended his career with the Kings with 11 home runs, 114 RBI, and 27 stolen bases.
