The Windy City ThunderBolts are welcoming four new players into Crestwood for the 2010 season. Four new pitchers have recently been added to the roster. Bradley Blanks, Brandin Muniz, Jordan McCavitt, and Kyle Kobernus will be dawning ThunderBolts apparel in 2010.
Bradley Blanks pitched his college days in Spartanburg, South Carolina for the USC-Upstate Spartans. After his days there he pitched in the Frontier League with the Evansville Otters in 2008. He had a successful season appearing in 33 games, pitching in 41.1 innings and had an ERA of 2.18.
Brandin Muniz is another righty pitcher out of Addison, IL. He pitched at Joliet Junior College in the Spring of 2004. The 6’2’’ 225 pounder looks to make a difference in the Frontier League for the ThunderBolts.
Jordan McCavitt will be pitching for the ThunderBolts as well in 2010. He has spent the last two seasons in the Continental League for the Texarkana team. In his time there he appeared in 50 games and had an ERA 3.32 with 79 strikeouts. He looks to take his two seasons of experience in independent baseball to the ThunderBolts.
Finally, Kyle Koberus will be taking the mound and facing Frontier League opponents. Kyle is from Naperville, IL and pitched for Elgin Community College and Judson College. He also has plenty of experience in independent baseball. He has spent time with the Gary SouthShore RailCats and the Newark Bears.
