The Windy City ThunderBolts Baseball Team, 2007 and 2008 Frontier League Champions, are pleased to welcome Leslie Hunt to Standard Bank Stadium on August 16, 2009. Leslie is a former American Idol contestant from Season 6. Leslie will be in attendance to perform songs from her new album before the game and perform the National Anthem. She will also sign autographs and interact with the fans during the game.
Leslie Hunt's new record Your Hair Is On Fire (Ellenel Records) is a product of passion and tragedy, helped along by the talents of drummer Vinnie Colaiuta(Frank Zappa, Herbie Hancock) and bassist Vail Johnson (Stevie Nicks, Herbie Hancock). In Leslie's own words, "Many of the songs on Your Hair Is On Fire were written as an observation of someone on the path to self-destruction, hence the title, but the overall theme is optimistic, as I have most certainly learned volumes from such darker times."
The pregame concert will begin at approximately 2:15pm. The ThunderBolts play at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood. Ticket prices range between $8 and $10. The 2009 season also features the ThunderBolts value menu with hot dogs, small fountain soda’s, popcorn and snow cones available for just $1 each.
