The Windy City ThunderBolts are now just a click away.
The Bolts Daily Podcast a 1-2 minute recap of the previous night’s game complete with highlights is available for download on iTunes, thus making it possible to keep up with the ThunderBolts while on the go using your iPod or iPhone.
It is believed that the ThunderBolts are the first minor league team to be available for iTunes download.
“As we have moved into a more digital society, this seemed to be the next logical step,” said ThunderBolts Broadcast Coordinator, Chad Cooper. “With the technology being easier to use as well as being accessible to more people, it was a goal of ours from the beginning of the season to be able to have the podcast available on iTunes for our fans.”
The iTunes download is just the latest in the ThunderBolts efforts to be interactive with their fans. At the start of the season, Windy City started Facebook and Twitter pages, which are updated throughout the games.
Subscribing to the Bolts Daily Podcast is easy. Once you have opened iTunes, go to the iTunes store and search for ThunderBolts. From there just click on the button to subscribe. You also don’t have to have iTunes to listen, however. Just go to http://boltsdailypodcast.podomatic.com and you can listen to individual episodes.
Windy City will host River City in the final game of a three game set on Saturday night. The game will also see the ThunderBolts will welcome the 800,000
th fan in franchise history into the ballpark. The lucky fan will receive a pair of 2010 season tickets, a hat and t-shirt from the ThunderStore and will have the opportunity to throw out a first pitch at 2009 ThunderBolts regular season home game.
