Crestwood, IL - Single game tickets for the Windy City ThunderBolts' third season of Frontier League baseball are now on sale. The ThunderBolts play a 48-game home schedule that starts on May 24 and runs through the end of August.
Tickets can be purchased at the ThunderBolts box office, over the phone by calling 708-489-2255, or online at ticketmaster.com. A lower deck box ticket costs only $8.00. Hawkinson Ford Field features one of the few upper decks in minor league baseball and an upper deck seat is just $7.00.
Opening Day on Wednesday, May 24, is an 11:35AM contest and kicks off “Delta Sonic Presents ThunderBolts Opening Series.” Delta Sonic logo baseballs and magnet schedules will be handed out to the first 2,000 fans. The May 25 game is another Delta Sonic magnet schedule night and the Opening Series wraps up with Delta Sonic magnet schedules and fireworks.
Fridays are fireworks nights in 2006 and there are nine on the schedule. There will also be a fireworks show following the July 4 game. Miller Lite Thirsty Thursdays are back with $1.00 beer and soda.
The box office will be open from 8AM-6PM on March 24. Regular offseason hours for ticket sales besides that day are 8:30AM-5PM Monday through Friday. Beginning on March 25, the box office will be open on Saturdays for ticket sales from 10AM-2PM. All fans who purchase single game tickets on March 24 or March 25 will also be able to take advantage of a 25% discount on merchandise in the ThunderStore.
