BEGGARS PIZZA & THUNDERBOLTS TEAM UP FOR HONORARY BAT BOYS/GIRLS
Crestwood, IL – The Windy City ThunderBolts professional baseball team, 2007 and 2008 Frontier League champions, have teamed up with Beggars Pizza to allow area boys and girls the opportunity to serve as an honorary bat boy or girl during the 2009 season.
Beginning on May 1, kids can sign up at the Beggars Pizza locations in Blue Island (both locations), Merrionette Park, and Oak Forest to be an Honorary Bat Boy or Girl for a game. One child will be selected for each home game and have the opportunity to spend the game in the dugout with the ThunderBolts.
Honorary Bat Boys and Girls will perform in-game duties assisting the ThunderBolt players. In addition, the family of the Honorary Bat Boy or Girl each night will receive four lower box tickets between the ThunderBolts dugout and home plate compliments of Beggars Pizza.
“We are excited to be able to partner with Beggars Pizza and allow area children the ability to experience a professional baseball game from the dugout,” commented ThunderBolts’ general manager Steve Tahsler. “Beggars Pizza has been a partner of ours for several seasons and with their loyal customer base we expect to have a high demand for this promotion.”
The Windy City ThunderBolts open the 2009 season on Thursday, May 21 at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood. For more information, please visit us online at www.wcthunderbolts.com or contact the ThunderBolts at 708-489-BALL or [email protected]
