Crestwood, IL - The Windy City ThunderBolts will be having MDA Jerseys Off Their Backs Day on Sunday, August 20, courtesy of Envision Mortgage Solutions.
The ThunderBolts host the Evansville Otters on August 20 with a first pitch set for 1:05pm. The ThunderBolts will take the field in jerseys that are modeled after the uniforms of the 1978 San Diego Padres. The Windy City version will be white with blue sleeves and black trim. The front of the jersey will have Windy City Bolts in block lettering. The players number on the back will be blue with black trim. The original Padres jerseys are pictured at right.
Following the game, there will be a live auction of all the jerseys. Fans will have the chance to bid on all the game worn jerseys of the players and coaches. After a jersey is purchased, there will be an opportunity to have the player autograph it. All of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the MDA.
We are proud to be working with two such great organizations as the Windy City ThunderBolts and Envision Mortgage on the upcoming MDA Jerseys Off Their Backs event. Both organizations are being very generous and are helping the over 400 families in southern Cook County that face neuromuscular diseases every day. We couldnt do it without them! said MDA Regional Field Representative Kent Ericksen.
The MDA is a voluntary health agency that fights neuromuscular disease through research, medical and community services, and professional and public health education.
