The Windy City ThunderBolts have announced that the Bremen High School band will be one of the four non-profit organizations that will be represented at the 2023 Frontier League Skills Competition on Tuesday, July 11th at Ozinga Field.
The skills competition will feature four teams of five Frontier League all-stars each, competing against one another in a variety of baseball skills, including hitting, bunting, throwing and home run hitting. Each of the five-man teams will be representing a non-profit organization. The overall winning team’s NPO will receive a $2,000 donation. There will be further donations given out to the NPOs of individual contest winners.
The Bremen High School band has been selected to be one of the four non-profits taking part in the skills competition. Each of the five players on one of the four teams will be wearing special jerseys that feature the Bremen High School logo. Fans can now purchase their own Do It Stevie’s Way jersey with half of the proceeds going to the organization. The final two participating non-profits and jerseys for the July 11th Skills Competition will be announced later in the week.
Bremen High School is located in Midlothian, Illinois. Since 1953 the school has made a positive impact on the community through a rich tradition of academics, athletics and activities. By working to develop positive relationships with their students, Bremen has provided the type of experiences that lead to a positive, productive and successful student body.
The Bremen High School Band is directed by Ben Salgado and is comprised of dedicated and talented individuals, who build lifelong friendships while experiencing the highest levels of teamwork. The program regularly graduates members who continue to study music in college and the musicianship and citizenship learned by members of the Bremen Music program last a lifetime.
The Frontier League Skills Competition begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday July, 11th. After the event, fans are invited onto the field to play catch and get autographs from all of the Frontier League all-stars. See you in July!
