The Windy City ThunderBolts have announced Disabled American Veterans – Chapter 84 as one of the two non-profit organizations that will be represented at the 2023 Frontier League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 12th at Ozinga Field.
The All-Star Game will pit the Frontier League’s East Division against the West Division and each team will be playing to raise money for a non-profit. The winning team’s NPO will receive a $3,000 donation while the losing team’s NPO will receive a contribution of $1,000.
Disabled American Veterans – Chapter 84 has been selected to be the West Division team’s represented non-profit. All of the all-stars voted in from the eight West Division ball clubs will be wearing special jerseys for the July 12th All-Star Game that feature the DAV logo. Fans can now purchase their own DAV West Division jersey with half of the proceeds going to the organization. The participating non-profits and jerseys for the July 11th Skills Competition will be announced in the next few weeks.
For over 100 years, Disabled American Veterans has been providing support to veterans of all generations and their families. That includes connecting them with the healthcare, disability, employment, education and financial benefits they have earned through military service. DAV also provides care and support during tough times, advocates for the veteran community on Capitol Hill, connects veterans with meaningful employment, and so much more.
The Frontier League All-Star Game begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday July, 12th. Gates will open at 4:00 to give fans the chance to watch batting practice and meet the all-stars on the field. The game will be followed by a special fireworks show. See you in July!
