Lynch Pin in Place for Bolts
Crestwood, IL. -- The Windy City ThunderBolts have announced the re-signing of catcher Michael Lynch for the 2006 season. This season will be the Oak Forest residents second season in Crestwood.
Lynch, 23, appeared in 43 games last season for the ThunderBolts and hit .263 with 10 extra base hits and 12 RBI. Solid defensively, he had a .987 fielding percentage and didnt allow a single passed ball.
Originally selected in the 46th round of the 2001 draft, Lynch was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers following his college career at South Suburban. He spent three seasons in the Dodgers organization before being released and later signed by the ThunderBolts for the 2005 season.
The Windy City ThunderBolts are a member of the 10-team Frontier League. The Frontier League is an independent league with franchises throughout the upper Midwest.
