Crestwood, IL - With the season now underway, the Windy City ThunderBolts are in need of a few more host families to fill up the lineup. The host family program allows members of the community to become more than just fans and play an important role in the lives of the players.
The ThunderBolts roster has players from all across the country. The host family program is a way to provide the players a home away from home during the season. Players and host families form bonds with each other that last well beyond the end of the season.
Host families will need to have space available through the end of the season in mid-September. Host families are not expected to provide housing once the season is over. The ThunderBolts play a 96-game schedule with 48 at home and 48 on the road. Due to team travel, players will be gone approximately half of the time.
Players are responsible for their own transportation, phone calls, laundry, and dining. Specific arrangements can be worked out between individual players and families.
