Rain Out
TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The ThunderBolts will not get a chance to avenge the losses they took Friday and Saturday against the Beach Bums as rain in the Traverse City area has forced the postponement of Sunday evening's game.
The rain out will be made up as part of a doubleheader the next time the ThunderBolts are in town in late August. They return to Traverse City for a weekend series August 21-23. It has not yet been announced which day the doubleheader will be played.
After a scheduled off day Monday, the ThunderBolts are next in action on Tuesday evening as they return home to start a three-game series with the Southern Illinois Miners. Danny Jimenez (0-0, 1.50) was Sunday's scheduled pitcher and will be expected to make the start on Tuesday. He will be opposed by last year's Brian Tollberg Award winner Matt Bywater (1-0, 2.25). Tuesday's game, the first of a six-game homestand will commence at 7:05. All tickets at Standard Bank Stadium will sell for just $2.00 on $2.00 Ticket Tuesday. The radio broadcast can be heard on WXAV 88.3 FM and wxav.com.
