The Windy City ThunderBolts are pleased to announce their 2015 Frontier League schedule. This will be the 23rd year for the Frontier League and the ThunderBolts' 17th season in the circuit. Some highlights...
- The ThunderBolts will start the season at home for the second consecutive season. It will be tenth time in 12 years that Windy City will open the season at Standard Bank Stadium.
- The ThunderBolts will look for a fast start as 20 of their first 26 games are at home. The ThunderBolts’ longest home stand of the season will be eight games in early June.
- For the eighth time in the last 12 years the ThunderBolts will finish the season on the road against the Washington Wild Things. The month of August will feature a very heavy road game schedule for the Bolts, with 18 of the final 27 games being played on the road.
- For the first time since 2012 the Bolts will have Opening Day on a Thursday night. The ThunderBolts will host the two-time defending champion Schaumburg Boomers on Thursday, May 14th at 6:05 pm. The day will feature $1.25 beer and a postgame fireworks show!
- Game times will not change from last season. Monday – Friday game start at 7:05 pm. Saturdays start at 6:05 pm. Sundays will have two different times with 2:05 pm for May/June Sundays and 5:05 pm for July/August Sundays. The only exceptions are the six 10:35 am weekday kid’s days and all weekday fireworks nights start at 6:05 pm.
- The 2015 Frontier League season will feature the same 14 teams. The Frontier Greys will again play an all-road schedule and this will give the ThunderBolts an extra three home games for 2015.
- The ThunderBolts’ weekly promotions will be finalized and announced very soon. Our full promotional schedule with giveaways and special theme nights will be announced at a later time. We look forward to seeing you at the ballpark in 2015!
