O'FALLON, MO - The scheduled game one of the ThunderBolts’ final regular season series of the year was postponed Friday night due to constant rainfall in the St. Louis area. The contest between Windy City and the River City Rascals will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday at T.R. Hughes Ballpark. Game one is slated to begin at 5:05 CDT.
The ThunderBolts enter the series two games out of a playoff spot behind the Florence Freedom. If Windy City sweeps the Rascals, they will need Florence to lose at least two at Evansville this weekend and the Schaumburg Boomers to drop at least one game at Washington in order to make the postseason.
With more rain in the forecast throughout the weekend, the Bolts and Rascals are hoping to complete the series with two games on Saturday and one on Sunday. River City has already been eliminated from playoff contention.
