FLORENCE, KY –Brian Fuentes four RBI night at the plate fueled the Florence Y’alls 8-5 over the Windy City ThunderBolts Thursday night at Thomas More Stadium. The ThunderBolts (13-18) struck the first run in the ball game for the third straight time. Brennen Dorighi hit his first professional home run, a solo shot to dead center field. In the top of the third, the Bolts zapped an RBI double from Emmanuel Sanchez. A wild pitch scroed Dorighi and a 3-0 Bolts lead. Ed Johnson doubled in a run for Florence (10-18) in the bottom of the third, making it a 3-1. The Y’alls got the lumber brewing in the bottom of the fifth. Following a lead of double by Langston Ginder, Alberti Chavez singled. Ed Johnson doubled in an RBI and Fuentes nailed a three-run home run, his third of the season outputting a 5-3 advantage. Following a wild pitch that made it 5-4, Cam Phelts smacked an RBI double tying the score 5-5. Hank Zeisler ripped a two out, go ahead single making it 6-5. After a passed ball, Fuentes notched an infield single squeaking a pair of run for an 8-5 lead. Barker (1-4) dashed 5.2 innings allowing eight earned runs over 11 hits while walking two and striking out one. Logan Campbell (2-0) tossed three innings enduring two runs over four hits while walking none striking out three. Ben Terwilliger pitched a perfect ninth for his second save of the season.
