Biography:

Michael Seegers is in his first year with the ThunderBolts and first as a professional in 2024. He signed as a free agent on July 22, 2024 after completing his senior season at the University of Iowa, where he was the team captain as both a junior and a senior. He hit .286 with a .389 on-base percentage over 54 games in 2024.

Seegers was a four-year starter at shortstop and appeared in 198 games overall as a Hawkeye, compiling a .286 career batting average with seven home runs, 99 RBIs and 36 stolen bases. In his best season, as a junior in 2023, he batted .322 with 17 steals and an .877 OPS. Seegers was home schooled through high school.
