Biography:

Reed Chumley is in his first season with the ThunderBolts and first as a pro in 2024. He was acquired on July 22, 2024 as the player to be named later in a trade with the New England Knockouts. Reed completed his college career in the spring of '24 at West Virginia University, where he was named Second Team All-Big 12. He batted .311 with 16 homers, 50 RBIs and a 1.057 OPS.

Prior to West Virginia, Chumley spent two years at Houston Christian University and compiled a combined .292 batting average over 86 games. In 2023, he led the Southland Conference with a .392 average and hit 11 homers with a 1.180 OPS as he was named Second Team All-Conference. He also played one year at Cisco College, where he hit .439 with seven homers over 21 games, and one year at Odessa College, where his season was cancelled in 2020 after just six games. He attended Langham Creek High School in Houston, Texas.
