Biography:

Ronnie Allen, Jr. enters his fourth professional season and first with the ThunderBolts in 2024. He was acquired in a trade with the Boise Hawks of the Pioneer League in exchange for pitcher Cal Djuraskovic and infielder Troy Viola on November 3, 2023. Allen played in 49 games for Boise in 2023 and hit .261 with a .409 on-base percentage. In his first two seasons, he played 23 total games for four different Frontier League teams, including Florence, Evansville, Sussex County and Lake Erie.

Allen hit .213 with four home runs over 37 games in his final collegiate campaign at New Mexico State University. He spent one year at Ohio State University but did not appear in the Covid-shortened 2020 season. In two years at Wabash Valley College in Mount Carmel, Illinois, he was a .309 batter. Ronnie attended Cincinnati Country Day School in Indian Hill, Ohio.
