Biography:
Michael Barker begins his first season with the ThunderBolts in 2024. It's his seond as a pro. He signed on January 20, 2024. In his rookie campaign, Barker pitched for the Empire State Greys and appeared in 23 games (19 starts). He went 4-11 with a 6.88 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 107.1 innings. All of those numbers were tops on the Greys.
He attended Fresno Pacific University for three years and finished with a cumulative ERA of 5.81 over 32 games (13 starts). He struck out 106 hitters in 93 innings. He also spent one year at Taft College, where he led the Cougars in strikeouts (82) and innings pitched (69.1). He had a 6-3 record and a 4.67 ERA. As a freshman, he went 1-1 with a 4.22 ERA over five starts for Vanguard University. Michael attended Immanuel Christian High School in Ridgecrest, California. |
