Biography:

Tyler Sandoval enters his fourth professional season and first with the Windy City ThunderBolts in 2024. He was signed on January 7, 2024. Windy City is his second Frontier League stop, after playing in five games for the Southern Illinois Miners in 2021. He spent the rest of that season, and the ensuing two years with Grand Junction of the Pioneer League. In 118 career games there, he was a .233 hitter with a .353 on-base percentage. In 2022, he was part of the Pioneer League championship team managed by current ThunderBolts manager Bobby Jenks.

Sandoval played for five years collegiately at Division II Colorado Mesa University. He hit 308 over 98 career games and drove in 58 runs. In 43 games as a junior in 2018, he posted a .957 OPS. Tyler attended Delta High School in Delta, Colorado.
