Dylan Prohoroff is in his second season with the ThunderBolts and fifth as a professional in 2021. He was originally signed on April 19, 2019 and began his second stint with Windy City when he signed on April 12, 2021. In between, he did not allow a run in 11 appearances with the ThunderBolts. He then was picked up by the Milwaukee Brewers and posted a 3.50 ERA over 17 games across two levels.
Prohoroff's professional career began in 2016, when he was an eighth round choice of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Amateur Entry Draft out of Cal State Fullerton. He spent three years in the Pirates system and appeared in 64 games out of the bullpen, going 3-3 with a 4.29 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 91 innings. He peaked in Class A, where he pitched for two years.
Dylan pitched one year at Cal State Fullerton, posting a 0.68 ERA and three saves in 20 appearances. He also pitched two years at Fullerton College and - primarily as a starter - went 15-7 with a 2.60 ERA there. He attended Valencia High School in Placentia, California.
