Karen Engel will begin her sixth season with the ThunderBolts in 2024. She is not a stranger to the team as she was a seasonal game-day employee since 2004 in our food & beverage department. She was named Director of Food & Beverage for the 2019 season before being promoted as Director of Not-For-Profit Events in 2020.
While she still supervises food & beverage, her role also includes group sales with an emphasis on not-for-profit accounts. Fundraising is a major part of our attendance and Karen focuses on non-profits such as youth leagues, social clubs, local charities, and educational clubs & activities. Her responsibilities also include payroll, records, and other human resource tasks.
