Fight Cancer Superhero Night presented by Duly Health and Care will be filled with moments to remember as we honor children and adolescents battling cancer through Gold Glove Charities. The character appearances are courtesy of Princess Fairytale Parties. Before the game is a costume parade on the field at 5:30 pm. Music and movie clips from your favorite superhero movies will be played during the evening. Stick around after the game for our famous fireworks show!
The ThunderBolts will also be playing for manager Bobby Jenks who is still fighting stomach cancer in Portugal. In addition to special jerseys that will support Gold Glove, we are offering a special deal that includes an upper level ticket to the July 19 game AND a ThunderBolts edition of the “Grinder Ball Rule #45: Fight like it’s the bottom of the 9th" t-shirt. All proceeds will benefit Bobby's favorite charity RMHC Chicago and Northwest Indiana and its mission to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. As if that is not enough we will honor Phil Hawke who was inducted into the Frontier League Hall of Fame with a pregame ceremony as he returns to Crestwood for the first time since leading the Bolts to back-to-back championships in 2007-08.
Finally it is also our popular Scout/Camp Out Night where all ticketed fans are invited to sleep under the stars in their stake-less tents. Play on the field! Enjoy a late night movie on our videoboard as popcorn and drinks will be available. In the morning a free light breakfast will be served to campers.
