Biography:

Alex Chavez begins his first season with the ThunderBolts in 2011. He signed with the club on August 9, 2011. Chavez spent the first year of his professional career with the Edmonton Capitals, managed by current ThunderBolts hitting coach Brent Bowers. After beginning his collegiate career at Los Angeles Harbor College, he went on to hit .384 over two seasons at Williams Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He attended Culver City High School in California.
