The Windy City ThunderBolts are excited to announce a partnership with the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau (CSCVB) with support from the Cook County Tourism Alive program, for the 2023 Frontier League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 12th at Ozinga Field.
The All-Star Game is the culmination of a three-day baseball celebration with the Skills Competition taking place on the evening of Tuesday, July 11. Both events will feature the top talent from around the Frontier League in its premier summer attraction.
The Frontier League is the biggest MLB Partner League, featuring 16 teams from 15 markets stretching from Sauget, Illinois in the Midwest to Upstate New York in the Northeast plus three teams north in Canada. Those Frontier League markets comprise over 20 million residents.
Each year, the All-Star Game attracts thousands of visitors to the host city from around the US and Canada. This year, the ThunderBolts are excited to welcome those visitors to everything Chicago’s south suburbs has to offer, including local attractions and hotels in addition to Ozinga Field in Crestwood.
Audiences from around the world can watch Frontier League games, the All-Star game plus Skills Competition on FloSports TV.
The CSCVB is the official destination management and marketing organization for Chicago’s 62 south and southwest suburbs. The CSCVB markets the Chicago Southland region as a destination for leisure, meetings and conventions, group tours and sports events including Windy City ThunderBolts baseball.
Individual tickets to the Skills Competition/Home Run Derby and the 2023 Frontier League All-Star Game will go on-sale Friday, April 14th at 10 am.
